I was wondering if your school has a thousand pound club? I have been trying so hard to get in it and i was wondering how many of you have this club. I want to know if it is something that our coaches made up to motivate us or if alot of schools do it.
PS- If you dont know, its squat, bench, and deadlift.

No official 1000 pound club, but yes there is one at my school.
Mostly football players though and i doubt theres more than 10 in it.2 years
Starting weight/height = 119lbs / 5'8"
Current weight/height - 185lbs / 5'8"
Bulking 'til 230lbs or when the Buffalo Bills have a winning season. Whichever comes first.
Step 1) Pick up a weight and a small farm animal.
Step 2) Lift one and eat the other.

Thats why im so motivated to get in. It ALL football players at my school that are in it. They are so cocky and they think that they are better than everyone. Not really to me because im strong but to my friends and everyone else. Also i would be the lightest person in there by about 45lbs.
There is about 10 in mine.I Will NEVER Be Out Worked.

I go to a very sport oriented boarding school and out of 230 kids (boy and girl) i think 12 kids were in the "1000" pound club last year, and 3 were in the 1300 pound club, all of them doing a 300 pound max bench, 500 pounds deadlift and squat. The most impressive of which was a kid who coulda gone to BC, Penn State or Northeastern for football but like James Madison (D1 double A) because it was close to his home, he was 6'6" and was in the 1300 pound club.
lets just say i'm off of it by a few hundred pounds haha, maybe in college.
My school's not even good at football were in like the worst league in america he was just nasty, we mainly do hockey and basketball, sending a few kids D1 everyyear since i've been going there as a freshman.Last edited by Mo34Hockey; 06-02-2007 at 09:47 PM.

I wish i could work my bench higher, but it ****s with my shoulder when i bench heavy. Putting up 230 is the best I can do without my left shoulder feeling like it will go out on me. Kind of limits my total more than I'd like it to.

Well as far as the 6'6" kid it was video taped and sent to the schools looking at him, and i saw it so i know that one was legit, for the record i know for a fact one of the other kids in the 1300 pound club was on roids, lol.
a 5'6" hockey player on our team who's going to UVM next year maxed 575 squatin, kid was nasty to, he'll be missed. I wish i was as good haha.S&P

I'm officially in our 1400 club with benching, overhead press, clean and squat. I think it's bs that school's have deads in it, my total would be huge if we counted it.
Well it's 40 below and I don't give a f*ck
Got a heater in my truck and I'm off to the rodeo
And it's allemande left and allemande right
Come on ya f*ckin' dummy get your right step right
Get off the stage ya god damn goof, get off
Piss me off, f*ckin' jerk, get on my nerves

yeah, what is the total of your pverhead press and your clean together? is it anywhere close to ur dead's because if u added dead's in it would be the exact same thing because u'd have to take out the other to
on the other hand though 1400 is very impressive, specially at 17, i'm jealous. lol.S&P

Yea, I'm in it with just my deadlift and squat alone. A few people from my school are in it. Probably around 10-15. Some schools even have a special like, reward benefeits from it. Like this school in south carolina that this kid on our football team went to had it like that. They were the panthers and if you were in the 1000+ club you were a super panther and you got your own shirt and some other things. It sounds pretty neat.
