Hey everyone. I just got back from doing the NPC Louisiana. I have LOTS of pics. I didn't place in the top 3 in my division, but the judging was VERY fair. We had 7 competitors (18 and 19 year olds), and the top three were all TIGHT. The guy that got 1st had one of the best christmas trees in his lower back that I've ever seen. He was SHREDDED. The guy that got second was a powerlifter, and he was VERY lean. It was his first show as well. A friend of mine competed with me in my division, but he didn't place in the top 3 either. Everyone looked GREAT, and I can honestly say this competition was the best time I've ever had in my life. I was VERY nervous for prejudging, but the night show was a blast. All of the competitors were very nice and we all helped each other. Everyone was down to earth, and everyone looked like they were having fun. I'm happy to say that I can now call myself a competitive bodybuilder, and I accomplished all the goals I set out (to get into contest condition, compete, and get my feet wet in the sport of competitive bodybuilding). So, since I accomplished all my goals I consider myself a winner, and that's the best way to look at it I think. Special thanks goes out to str8flexed, Abdominator, and Fletch for helping me with contest prep and putting up with all of my questions . I wouldn't have been able to do this without you guys. Thanks. Now, ON WITH THE PICS!
This is a pic of me doing a pump up routine in my hotel room the day before the show.

Posing routine pic..
Also, as a note, I only have one complaint: how long they made the teens wait to go out!! I was there at 8:00 am and I didn't go on until 11:30!! It was CRAZY. I literally just sat there in the dressing room area and ate every two hours not knowing how much more time I had. I kept my clothes on to keep warm (it was FREEZING), and when I took off my clothes to put on the dream tan at about 1030, I realized I was FLAT. I got the dream tan on (thanks to some guy that was really nice), and got back inside to eat 2 rice cakes, almond butter and jam thinking we had 45 minutes until we would go out... yea I went out 10 minutes after I finished that meal, plus they only gave us 3 minutes to pump up LOL

More pics from posing routine.. OH YEA they also made 2-3 people do their posing routines at one time. I didn't think they normally did that.
chuckles_345: Yep the plan is to bulk up, but bulk CLEANLY. I hope to put on 30 pounds of muscle in 3 years so I can hopefully be about 200 pounds at 14% bodyfat after three years. Then I may be able to compete with the men. My LONG term goals include getting to NPC Nationals... and taking bodybuilding as far as I can take it. I have my best growing years ahead of me. I'm only 19, so I definitely plan on doing all that I can with this.

Okay now on to the mandatory posing round which was my favorite round of pre judging. I had a blast during this round. I mean the whole thing was fun, but the best part of prejudging was the mandatory poses (most fun of the whole night was the night show routine). I'm all the way to the right. My friend Chad is on the side of me and then on the side of him is the guy that took 3rd. He was a really cool dude as well. Waiting for FOREVER to go out all the teens got to know each other pretty well.

NOW, my most favorite picture of the whole night... me and GUNTER! He's the first IFBB pro I've ever met, and he is one of THE nicest guys ever. He, Elaine Goodlad, and Teri Mooney held a seminar between pre judging and the night show where they answered questions. They were very open and honest with their opinions. And I have to say, it was CRAZY seeing this man in the middle of the audience posing in his posing trunks. Literally his chest looked as wide as I was tall lol. It was absolutely crazy.

OKAY. After the whole show and everything was done with, I ATE A LOT OF FOOD. I had an entire Dominos Medium Thin Crust Supreme pizza to myself, and my friends would NOT leave until I finished the whole damn thing, so I had to lol. Aaaand this is what happened. I decided to take some pics of the post contest binge after seeing Railz pics. I think I put his to shame hahahaha. Again, I'm NOT pushing my stomach out for these.

Thanks. I was about 154 at 5'6". Speaking of that, it makes me remember when I walked into the weigh in/check in room. As I was walking in, the first guy was weighing in. This man went on to win the Overall Novice, and he was HUGE. He took off his sweat pants and jacket and stepped on the scale and I went holy crap lol. He weighed 213 pounds at probably about 5'9 or 5'10. He was so frickin big it made my face hurt.
