I was browsing my Bookshelf today for workout ideas when I realised that most of my books on fitness/bodybuilding are crap. I think I should get a couple of good books on the subject to beaf up my collection. Can anyone reccomend me some good ones? What's like the Bible of Bodybuilding in your eyes? My favorite books at the moment are Bruce Lee: The art of Expressing the Human body and Stallone's book. Neither of those are really bodybuilding books though. Any ideas?

Um, The Book Of Muscle by Mens Health was a really good book. Also, Arnold's Modern Encylopedia of Body Building is pretty informative.

The Black Book of Training Secrets by Christian Thibideau
Muscle Revolution by Chad Waterbury
Inside-Out Warm Up by Mike Robertson and Bill Hartman.
For like $20 you can get a e-book CD called "Lift Strong" that has over 800 pages of articles from well known authors, and all the proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

I highly recommend this CD, has a lot of great information and is for an amazing cause, if you know anything about Alwyn Cosgrove, that's enough reason to buy it as well.2 years

Thanks guys that's a lot. I'm really annoyed I didn't buy the Men's Health Muscle book now, I saw it in town today but it was ?20. I'd like to read his biography actually, that's why I like Stallone's book I find that really inspirational too.

The book is not about training, but it is. This book was not written about business but it was. This book was not compiled to help you better your relationships, but it could be. This book was not written as a road map to help you achieve your goals, but it ended up that way. This book was written to show you that you already have all you need to achieve success in anything you choose to do. You just need to know where to look.

Thanks man, glad you liked it. I wrote it on a whim. Nutrition is complex. Implementing it should be simplified (for most).
BTW -- I'm attending the Perform Better summit in Long Beach CA, and every trainer in SoCal who isn't here is missing out BIG TIME. This is why my i-net time is semi-screwed till Monday. This is mostly for the guys in The Sticky, BTW.Last edited by alan aragon; 06-02-2007 at 07:21 PM.
