I went to the local GNC to purchase some creatine. I wasnt allowed to buy it beacuse you had to be over 18. I found this to be total B/S...I was very angry...They told me it would mess up my liver, is this true?

same happened to me accept they let me get it but not with out carding me. Luckily i had a friend there with me who was 18 so he got it for me. It happened to me at a vitamin world in florida

The store was ran by middle-eastern people, the white guy was gonna sell it to me like 2 months ago but noone there was white.

I never seen a black work at GNC, they were all middle eastern. I'm 99.9% sure they were Indian.

First of all i wouldnt by creatine from GNC in the first place.......most people will sell creatine to you though because its not a law but it is up to the store......and to answer your liver question, just take plenty of water and make sure you cycle 2 months on 1 month off(or w/e) and youll be fine!

I've only used creatine once.. even though i don't use it anymore, but it does work! I juss don't feel safe with it. But I'm only 15 and they let me buy it, so whoever said you have to be 16 and up.. if the people at GNC told you that, do everyone who's ever been to GNC a huge favor and say "**** you, idiot!"

I've been taking creatine for awhile, and would somebody be kind enough to tell me the cycle that we're supposed to repeat? I seriously thought you take the loading stage ONCE, and then the maintenance stage the rest of the time.
Isn't it like loading stage week 1, maintenance week 2, and off week 3, and then repeat? If not, please clarify me, so I'll know in the future. Thanks again!!!

07-09-2004, 07:48 PM #30for one, creatine does absolutely nothing bad to you, and is actually beneficial. 2, u should be drinking plenty of water whether u are on creatine or not. and 3, not getting enough water whilst on creatine, will not lead to problems, but, dehydration does have a negative affect on its performance. meaning, nothing bad will happen, but the results wont be as good.Originally posted by GBI
