    Intro / about me:

    Pretty simple story here. I was fat as a kid...I was always the biggest one (and not in a good way). I topped out at 230 or so at the start of junior year in high school. I hardly did anything outside of playing on the tennis team and getting good grades.

    On January 1st, 2006 I decided to change. I started lifting (albeit with an AWFUL routine), doing TONS of cardio and eating way too little. I did the best I could, I got down to a stick-thin 165 pounds. I was overjoyed about losing all that weight, but I was just WAY too thin. I lost 60 pounds in 5-6 months....not healthy. I had zero strength and zero muscle. That is where my love for lifting began. I started with Rippetoes midway through summer, when I realized that I need to start putting some weight on. Ever since, I have been hooked.

    I went off to college at Georgetown Univeristy and I put on a nice 35 pounds in the first year there! I was thrilled. I surely put on a fair amount of fat, but I can still the oultine of my abs. I was tested a couple of weeks ago (water) at 14-15% BF, which I think is pretty accurate.

    With all of that said, I am completely dedicated to this life and I plan to live it for the rest of my life.

    Now, on to the reason for this log. I have had gynecomastia since I hit puberty. I always thought it was because I was fat, but when I lost all the weight it never went away. Come to find out, I have glands about the size of a grape and a half (worse on the right), behind each nipple. The embarassment has really gotten to me, even though I have been pretty good in dealing with it all.

    I finally decided that it was time for the gyno to go, so I have surgery scheduled for JULY 2nd! This log will be the cut for 30 days that leads into that surgery.

    Current Training Schedule / Protocol:
    Mon - Upper Body Strength
    Tues - Lower Body Strength/Hypertrophy
    Wed - High Intensity Cardio - Usually Jumprope
    Thurs - Chest/Tris Hypertrophy
    Friday - Back/Biceps Hypertrophy
    Saturday - Shoulders/Traps Hypertrophy
    Sunday - Cardio

    WHAT? You are only hitting legs ONCE per and everything else twice? Yes folks, the routine may look like I am avoid legs, but I am not. My legs are my largest bodypart by far (check pics), but more importantly, I am working construction this summer (50+ hours a week) and my legs and lower back are pretty beat throughout the week. Working them once given my job and their size is PLENTY.

    Current supplements:

    NOW Ecogreen
    Optimum Fish Oil
    MAN Scorch
    CL Puprle Wraath
    Avant Labs Synthesize
    DS Melting Point

    I have used Scorch and Melting point before and LOVE them both. Purple Wraath is awesome and I hope that the combo of PW and Syntesize allows me to hold to a serious amount of muscle on this cut.

    Current Nutrition and Macros:

    Mon - HIGH (300g - 2800 calories)
    Tues - LOW (150g - 2600 calories)
    Weds - NO (75g or less - 2500 calories)
    Thurs - HIGH
    Friday - LOW
    Sat - LOW
    SUN - NO

    Pretty simple here. A basic Carb Cycling. I have tried both high carb days before and on my leg days, and I find that a high carb day before my leg day works out better than having the high carb day ON my leg day.

    Short Term Goal: Get to about 193-195 or so with some serious fat loss in a mere 30 days.

    Thoughts:

    Just getting my template setup. This was my first day on the new diet. Wed = low carb. Let me say this, today BREEZED by. Easy as pie. I got a sweet new jumprope that I am about to try out today as well. I will update macros later! Peace. (Edit - Damn, I need to upload pics.

    Thoughts:

    Pretty good day all around. Got the 75's up and rolling on the incline press which felt nice. The inclines really killed my flat however. I was just going for a great contraction on the flat bench,m so I really lowered the weight and concentrated on perfect form.

    I was extremely pleased with muscle hardness and fullness during the workout. Very good. The diet today has been spot on and I plan to keep it that way. No cardio PWO, but I might jump some rope later if I get bored!

    Today's rating (scale of 1-10):

    Appetite: 6
    Recovery: 1 - Purple wraath didn't get opened until today, so my legs were SORE!
    Sleep: 10
    Vascularity: 7 - Good, but it will get much better.
    Strength: 7

    Thoughts:

    This workout was Short, Sweet, and SWEATY. The thermo effect of scorch nailed be today. Melting point is aiding in this as well. Energy was great in the gym and out!

    Got back to doing deadlifts. I had taken a break, because my lower back was getting sore, but I had an easy day on the job, with tomorrow just a driving around day, so I decided to hit them up today. I LOVED the sumo stance squats. My new favorite!

    Everything else felt really good. I am concentrating on my form for back work, and making sure I am getting maximal back contraction. So far, so good.

    I added in 20 minutes of LI cardio after the workout. Very pleased with my endurance.

    Today's rating (scale of 1-10):

    Appetite: 3 - No problems at all today.
    Recovery: 8 - Chest was a bit sore, but not bad at all.
    Sleep: 10 - GREAT.
    Vascularity: 6 - not great.
    Strength: 8 - Holding steady.
    Stamina: 8 - Much better today with PW!
    Thermo Effect: 10 - I haven't been this sweaty since...well...a while.

    Thoughts:

    Another great workout. The pumps I get from the doses of PW I am taking are as good as any pump product. I add a bit of extra Cit-Malate to my PW. I love CM!!

    Endurance with the EAA's and BA is also just great. I am flying through workouts, supersetting just about everything. I even added in 20 minutes of LI biking at the end of today.

    Overall, a very good workout. Strength is still holding well. Great muscle fullness. I am really liking the Synthesize so far. The ingredients are top notch and I really like the inclusion of aminogen, among other things. The smell is terrible, but the taste is a WAY over-sweetned berry-grape-fruit punch thing. Not bad at all, as all I can taste is the sweetness.

    Scorch hit me strong again today with the thermo effect. During cardio I was dripping all over the place with sweat. AWESOME.

    No sides at all to this point with MP. I am keeping electrolytes high and water intake is around 1.5-2 gallons a day. I an noting a bit of increased hunger from this, but the scorch seems to counteract it quite well.

    Today's rating (scale of 1-10):

    Appetite: 5 - A little hungry, but not bad.
    Recovery: 10 - Felt great today.
    Sleep: 10 - The same as usual.
    Vascularity: 7 - Getting there.
    Strength: 9 - Very good today.
    Stamina: 10 - Better than ever on a cut!
    Thermo Effect: 10 - I am WARM.

    Thoughts:

    Ugh....so-so workout. Bench strength was down. Got the 65's up on military, but I wanted more reps. Back was nice and strong today. Very happy about that.

    I jumped rope for 30 minutes later in the night which was GREAT.

    First side effect today...Trap and nech CRAMPS! I picked up some mag + potassium to load up on. Fluid intake was very high, but the Potassium and Magnesium should help to alleviate the cramps. If that doesn't work, I will loswer the dose of MP. I have seen great results at 6 before, so I would like to be able to keep it there.

    In other news, I picked up 3 tubs of green-mag for 32 bucks shipped today....YEP. I am that cool.

    Today's rating (scale of 1-10):

    Appetite: 1 - High carb day. EASY.
    Recovery: 8 - Okay, not great right now. I need more sleep.
    Sleep: I fall asleep and stay asleep, but I need more.
    Vascularity: 10 - Improving a LOT.
    Strength: 7 - weak. I will come back strong though for tomorrow.
    Stamina: 7 - Could have been much better. I was just beat from the weekend.
    Thermo Effect: Jumping Rope = pool of sweat - Cool.

    Thoughts:

    Not a terrible workout, but strength was down again. All day on my feet and I was beat by the time I made it to the gym. Could have been worse, but overall, a bad day.

    Sides of MP have gone away with the addition of Potassium and Magnesium. Perfect!

    Ah - Update:

    I have been super busy guys. Sorry about not updating. I will get to it later tonight.

    I have been working 12 hour days, working out, eating and going to bed each day. I have been working 6 days a week to get enough money for this surgery (5500), so I am really beat day in and day out. That is why I really haven't updated this.

    On top of that, I am having major issues with my girlfriend of 3 years, which is really taking up a lot of energy right now.
