Chili is good for you - yes. Keep the sodium low if you can.
Has a higher fat content than some other foods. Some is good fat (from the beans) some is bad. Try to avoid Salmon on the same day if you are watching fat intake. At my house, we listen to both kinds of music: Led and Zeppelin!

Chili is good stuff . . .
If u make w/ a healthy meat, chicken will b fine. All it needs is some brown rice with it 2 make a complete protein w/ the beans & make it perfect

Actually beans and rice is a common dish in the caribbean. Reminds me of the movie "The Big Night" when the people that ordered risotto wanted to know where the side of spegetti was that came with all main courses.LOL
Double starch entree's are also famous in Greek restaurants when you get potatoes and rice in a meal. Whatever, I quess.

it was this little guy who betrayed your ulterior motives.
Now won't someone puhleeeze help anb1683 discover something so horrible about chili that she really cannot accept her friend's invitation but hopes that "we can still be friends." The rice was a good try but it's extrinsic to the dish ... now get out there and scrounge the internets for some dirt on chili w/ chicken! something that sticks!Last edited by depositio; 05-30-2007 at 04:33 PM.

LMAO, too funny. I could see that happening.
LOL, a girl once broke up with me because she said that i make her gain weight. LOL. At the time she was chubby and doing Atkins, i was lean and doing Body-for-Life (which involves 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fat). So naturally, im to blame for her years of eating fast food
In reality, she just used it as an excuse to break up with me.Current Diet: Turkey, Chicken, Steak, Eggs, Yogurt, Rice, Salad and Steamed Veggies. (60/30/10 ratio)

Are Celery sticks sexy for a girl too? Cause that seems like it would fit right into the whole baby carrots and lettuce deal...
