doesnt a flat bench press work the whole chest the sternal head and the clavical head and even the pec minor.
becuz u cant tense the pec minor and pec major seperately i assumed that when u bench press it also hits the pec minor so i dropped flyes outa my workout.... i never liked isolation anway
and yes i know this thread is 9 years old

Exactly. It can't hurt to incorporate them all. Do decline every other week or so. Mix up your angles and grips. I too am looking for that slab look though with the line underneath. I think it just comes with mass..

He is "somewhat" of a pro and he doesn't seem to think decline bench is BS. He instructs users of the video to decline instead of flat because it moves the arms along the path that the pec major naturally pulls: accross and DOWN the chest. Decline works the biggest muscle of the chest directly. I also find that it is much safer on the joints, which is a huge plus.

There's no upper chest either. Decline stresses the lower fibers more, incline stresses the upper fiber more. simple as.

Wrong. Looks like someone needs to re-visit anatomy & physiology 101. Incline Press works the upper fibers of the pectoralis major. The pectoralis minor is underneath the pec-major and doesn't contribute much to the lift.
What you're thinking of is the CLAVICULAR and STERNAL portions of the pectoralis MAJOR.

In a deadlift race with E_P_C based on progression. i am 5 pounds ahead :)
Racing to a tree fitty benchpress with BabyOilBrah. we are tied-ish :)
Racing to a 5 plate squat with jshaw5. i think i am winning :)
