    T-bar rows with a bar

Guys anyone ever try T-bar rows with a bar; where you stick the bar in the corner. If so, whats the benefits to this over regular t-bar rows?

The lying t-bar rows are good, but my gym only has the standing on the platform type t-bar. Bar in the corner > standing on platform tbar IMHO. Personal preference I guess.

The avantages? Would be the use of stabalyzing muscles..

easier on your back? Build up lower back muscles to handle it.

I remember when I first did T-Bar rows.. I was only able to load up 25LB plates on it. Anymore and the Plate would hit my chest and that would limit my rom. I don't think I set it up right.

I'm gonna do them tomorrow though for my back day. See how they go..

Does the bar smack your nut sack also? I seem to remember that one! And front bb shrugs... man.. I'm gonna have a day tomorrow!

I used to do this exercise with 6-7 plates. Good for biceps, but didn't get much back development for the weight I did.

i tried both and what's strange is that i use the same weight on both (one would thought that you would put less weight on regular t-bar rows)

i prefer regular t-bar rows though (i'm in a much more comfortable position)

The machine hurts my chest =( Why do you need to stick the bar in a corner?

but then again, we have both versions at my gym and it's fixed to the ground (no need to put the bar on a corner end)

also, the thing that you hold firmly with your hands on regular t-bar rows, well it's the same for the modified version, so i guess that's how i can use as much weight on both versions
