you are retarded and ****.
the cells that plants and animals are made of are completely different. plants can move though. they move to sun light why do you think they grow up instead of left right or down.

so theyre like bacteria? No nerve center, no organs, nothing. Except cells! They are hardly organisms except we classify them as organisms.
Edit: They cant be like bacteria! They are Eukaryotic, and animal cells are eukaryotic too, so why dont they act like animals, and why havent they evolved into movable beings yet?

response to 1st paragraph: how are they "hardly organisms"? they're clear cut organisms cause we classified them that way and they fit smack dab into the description and so do bacteria
response to 2nd paragraph: nothing you are saying has anything to do with this arguement. plant cells and animal cells are clearly different even though they are both eukaryotic cells. according to your statement, both animals and plants are eukaryotic so why shouldnt animals develop bark and leaves? it's stupid. you talk about plants not evolving into moveable beings but you forget that WE are the organisms that evolved into moveable beings. we split off the evolutionary branch a long time ago as multicellular organisms that didnt depend on photosynthesis so we needed to constantly consume other organisms for energy. as such we were less at the mercy of elements so we developed pain receptors to motivate us to move away from danger. plants dont have this cause what use are pain receptors if you're already ****ed.
edit: that blunt you rolled was already dead. tell me this, when you get a haircut at the barbershop, do you yell out in pain when the barber steps on the clippings of your hair on the ground?

And yet people can anthromorphize their pets, forces of nature, etc., because they mimic human behavior. So why not plants?

because animals mimicking human behavior isnt human. it's still an animal doing something that an animal can do but humans claim as their own. besides, anthropomorphization means giving it human qualities and it's something used in FICTION. and if plants could feel pain, it just means that anything can feel pain. my chair feels pain. my printer feels pain. my carpet feels pain. "but they dont have nerves or pain receptors". well they feel pain by magic, damnit!

Did you know clams have no brain, but they have an anus?
So technically you could anally rape a clam and it wouldn't even be consciously aware of it.

Plants don't have neurons, and besides, sometimes they benefit from trimmings. Certain species of grasses, for example, spread their seeds more effectively when grazed upon.
