WIth protein shakes, is the carb up that important?
I was just wondering. If you have a protein shakes with carbs in it after each workout, the protein and the carbs all go to your muscles. If thats the case, then is the carb up really necessary to refill glycogen stores?
I usually have oatmeal and sometimes fruit in my post workout shakes throughout the week. My job is pyshically demanding therefore i really need some carbs. I carb up on the weekends but if i dont i feel the same either way
