On-Ward March to the next show...and life..
Ok, after my first show. I did alot of reading of post show issues. I think I had all of them. I didn't feel like keeping up with my journal or really anything else. I just kept getting bigger and bigger. In my eyes when your 8% bf and worked soooo hard to get there. I think that was the hardest part, and not feeling good in your skin. If anyone can relate to that. So its been a little bit since then and of course everything I have read about post comps are completely 100% correct. I am now just feeling better. It really does take about 4wks to get your body to even out again.
I put on about 10lbs on in about 4wks. I was 128 aprox. 1wk before and am at 138lbs. Not soo bad I am learning to realize that I can not be at such a low bf forever and really your body will never be perfect. I am grasping these realizations and running with them.
My next competition I am going to be doing the Monster Mash in Ohio. I think it is on October 28, 2007. This will allow me to gain more muscle, be leaner and harder for my next show. What is the word BIGGER and BETTER!!
I am trying to add more size to my delts and lats.
I am currently doing on a 4day split for my weaker areas that need help.
chest/shoulders
legs/back
2 days on 1 day off rotation.
cals are at 2000-2100.

**blushes** aaaahhhhh it will be soo fun to be able to finally meet you and do the show together. Let me know. Maybe we can stay in the same hotel and drink wine together the night before. LOL!@!
I have to say the night before the show I was completely drunk after two glasses of wine. Then of course hung over the next a.m. It would be a lot of fun to have someone shoot the **** with especially that evening. just a thought

I saw my trainer this afternoon we did a wo together to make sure everything is on the up and up. There was a slight change in my chest wo. We are adding some dips in there to bring the top part of my chest out more. So we are focusing on various inclines, on the bench and chest press. The whole goal is to stay around 9-10% bf. My bf is around 13% its a little on the high side. I have to get back down by not losing any weight. My weight today was around 143.5lbs. I was holding a ton of h2o though, so bf and weight is not exactly. Calories will eventually go up to 3000 (YIKES) we'll see if i can get there. Build, Build and Build!! It will be very interesting to say the least. He is telling me that I won't even recognize myself when he gets done molding and shaping me. Let's hope that is right in the good way if ya know what i mean
Tommorrow is my day off from my wo. It is also my last day of work. YIPPEEE I was soo hating my job. I am going to do part time personal training and hopefully I will get a job at Children's Hospital part time. It will give me more time with my son and dog since hubby is still gone in Iraq. However, he did come home on R&R for 15 days and it was wonderful to have him back. On the down side it was a short visit and had to come to an end. I was sad for a few days and picked myself back up and am moving forward again. I only had a few poor me days of self pitty!!
**thinking to myself** I am jsut going to say screw it and wear shorts to my last day at work
Oh btw my car got broken into this last Friday. Thank god I am getting out of there....I was soo pissed off then to deal with all the broken glass and having to drive it back with glass everywhere on the freeway. Needless to say it sucked!

Hi Tina
I noticed your new avi from other posts....What an Attractive couple you are !!
Good for you in training for another competition.(I hear the Monster Mash is a fun one)
You sound as if you are mind-set with your goal...You have done research, got with a traininer, and have things in order in what to do for this comp.
Yeah for you!
I hope your job/work all comes together the way you want it to...For You, your Son and dog.
My blessings to you and husband...esp for being apart again.
Good luck with your job, comp, car and anything else that comes your way.
Take Care!

Thinking of your hubby. You and all the other military wives are so strong! Glad things are going good w/ the new trainer. Sounds like you're going to get whipped into shape!! If I do that show, I'd love to hang out with you! It would be nice to have someone there to talk to and to be nervous with!! I'm doing the Ohio Natural Northern on Oct 6th, so that will be my first one ever and I'm so scared!!

thanks Tina. Yeah, I'll be at the Monster Mash but I think Rick said he wants me to judge that show.
Yeah, just trust Rick. 3000 is going to be alot of work but sometimes eating is like working out. When you get to the point where you're stuffed, just take a couple more bites, kinda like forced reps. kinda.
Yeah you eat what Rick tells you and train and you are going to be amazed at what you're going to look like.

your sooo sweet. I heard it was a blast. You get to dress up in costumes and compete! I heard it is a pretty big show too.
I had to get myself together again. Fell apart a little I was very unsure on how my body would respond post comp. Seeing the scale go up and my waiste was hard for my morale with hub's aproach of coming home. I got over it though. I will just have to be a little more careful next time and add cheats and carbs slowly in.
Thank you for caring

The Iron is the best antidepressant I have ever found. There is no better way to fight weakness than with strength. Once the mind and body have been awakened to their true potential, it's impossible to turn back.

I was stuffing down the broccolii today thinking if I have to take another bite!! I just am sick of the broccolli. Eating is already like work now, some of it I enjoy the other part like the broccoli I could live without.
Well I will more than likely see you there

I know I am a idot but I can not for the life of me figure out how to have quotes and reply's to everyone on the same page. Geesh I know I am illiterate when it comes to the colored wording and smiley's but who would have thought... Enlighten me Mary!!
I was like YIIIPEEE MY LAST DAY!! I was soo very happy. On a side note I had been doing my job and in March my old supervisor got fired. So I have been doing two jobs since March with no compensation at all. Yes I am retarded. So I finally quite and gave notice. However the new supervisor was suppose to show up today and didn't. (heheee) what comes around goes around in my book!
Sorry I got side tracked on your post and went into a rave!!

you know you can eat more than just broccli. You can eat asparagus, cauliflower, greenbeans, brussel sprouts. I assure you rick wouldn't mind and can re-write your diet up to reflect that. If you are not sure ask him about it.
What Tara said, learn how to multi-quote!
oh wait, i know what you are doing, you're trying to raise the post count on your thread aren't you???? LOL
BTW, you are not a novice anymore chickie!

Yep raising the thread count i'm a slick one Didn't even know that was possible

How's that I just started? I know I can't compete in Pure Novice anymore. But other comps that say novice I can't enter? News to me, of course i'm still a newby. Maybe I need a figure book for dumbies that can explain all this.

It was so hot in the gym today. Sweat was poring off me. On a side note I passed my typing test today from Children's hospital. Now they are looking at my personality test. They are going to find out I am crazy once and for all the cat is out of the bag!! LOL! So I am awaiting my results on that one. Plus, tommorrow I do my paperwork to start personal training. Not sure what is going to happen with that one....meaning if I will like it or not or be any good at it. I just don't want to get burnt out on my own ambitions.
I am now going to go play in some journals

ok, sorry about the confusion. you can not compete in anymore pure novice classes. You can compete in a novice class if you have not won your class in any previous comps. Didn't you win your class?? so you cannot do any novice - nada, no more.

You know, I don't anymore. I pretty much have just been doing a low intesity cardio. I hated being covered up. I never really noticed a difference except I was uncomfortable the whole time. I think it is something that people believe it will help reduce h2o weight but my new trainer is completely old school and we dropped the h2o by water depletion, and sodium at the time a few days out from the comp.
One of the theories behind it is if you up your body temp by just a couple degrees it is suppose to help increase the amount of fat you burn.
Chest/Shoulders/Hams
Dips bw x7, x4, x4, 20lbs assisted x10
low incline bench w/db's 45x8, 35x10, 25x12, 20x15

lats 12lbsx12, 12lbsx10, 10lbsx10, 5lbsx15
lying ham curls 120x12, 120x10, 110x12, 110x8, 100x12, 90x15
