no but i believe it can help with striations, as well as shaping your muscle... arnold says that when you finsh a set, you should flex the muscle forcefully and hold it until your next set...ive tried that works great"Observe not that which is seen, but that which is not seen." -Dennis Nackord , Kenpo Karate System.

first off can anyone tell me what striations are??? either its an american term or im just stupid lol. Well anyway I feel that you can't shape a muscle by flexing it, but if you flex inbetween sets then its keeps them nice and pumped, but I don't flex them for the whole duration as they need some rest to drain LA etc. I also feel that what they mean about shaping the muscle is that you are making more of a mind muscle connection so you learn to flex it better( you know how your left or right is weaker??) well thats what im learning to do because my left should be nearly as big as my right(bicep) because there is more or less no strength difference.
BTW can anyone tell me how to do that vacuum thing? i read it in one of Laynes articles" You say you gave it your all??? but did you did you really??? Now go out there and sweat Blood "

The idea to flex a muscle in between sets is to help with localised blood flow, it would probably be a much better idea to alternate between stretching and flexing a muscle.
Posing creatine muscle shape? I don't buy it, although, it might help you learn to better recruit your muscles so you can flex them more efficiently, something like that. Like if you don't know how to do a lat spread, when you try it, it won't do your lats justice, however if you do you can show them off more efficiently.

Well im all for tensing muscles, but not for the whole rest period. I think that if you flex the muscles for about 5 secs then strech them it increases bloodflow, as flexing shortly decreases bloodflow slightly so when you strech and loosen your arms etc the blood comes rushing in. thats how I maintain my pumps, and also how I get them more often.
