What about adding a Bench/dead/squat and total leader board?
Just as another tool to help people advance and give themselves a push.
I think theres a formula called WILKS(sp?), that based on your bodyweight to weight lifted ratio gives you a number, the higher the number the higher up the table you will be, and you'll see where you compair to others and can try and move up the table.

hmmm, very good point, wish there was some kind of filtering, trust reps!! , dunno I'd think it would be cool, buy your right, some would just lie to get to the top. Maybe only allow people with a certain number of reps, but I think the misc section kinda ruins the idea of reps meaning that person is a reliable source of information. You may see someone with 100000 reps thinking, wow they know their stuff, tones of people have repped them and me with 7 looks like I knows crap all, but some get big reps for posting porn, nothing worng with that, but maybe there should be reps and misc-reps.
Okay, I'll quit bitching.

lol, that is how it works.. especially in high school.
"I can bench 250." "I actually only did 205 2.5 times, but it was a bad day, so I could have done more." "I also did 2 sets of chest yesterday, so the muscles were still tired." "Plus, we did 2 sets of pushups in gym this morning, so they were tired from that." "Also, joe was distracting me, so that took 10-15 lbs off"
205 x 2.5 pretty much = 215-220
Tired from yesterdays workout = + 10-15 lbs
Tired from pushups = 5-10 lbs
If joe wasnt there = 10-15 lbs
Final result = 250+ bench

Do the mods hangout alot in the boards?, maybe they could pick a group of people who they know wont abuse it and then you can only get onto the board if someone whos already in it invites you.
Maybe looking into the graphs to see their progress over a few months, I'm sure you could tell whos honestly progressing and whos leaping around. e.g. in Jan is their 170 and benching 245, then in Apr they are 171 and benching 320 etc. vs someone who in Jan was 170 benching 255 and in Dec 190 benching 300.
Then there could be checks like no update of stats with in x months, I think if once someone get in and is going to mess around, they wont keep it up for long, unlike the true poeple who test maxes every so often.
EDIT:
There could be BS reps, people who think your latest maxes are BS, BS-rep you and after so many BS-reps your out. Was kinda joking, but may be a good idea too

Hmm...Yea, I don't think an actual leaderboard would be a good idea. No one would probably even pay attention to it because of all the crap people would be posting. I think we should leave Bodyspace as it is. Besides, some maintenance work is still being done with it, so implementations might have to wait anyway.

I like your idea very much i think they should do some type of beta test with it. But one problem i see is with somebody life me. I started working out in January 2007 at 210 my max was 180 now in May 2007 I'm 195 and my max is around mid 300. I have videos to prove it.
I had a dream that one day I had to walk though doors sideways.
