Spots on my left leg... WTF?
I've had this problem for a while but I only just came up with the idea to ask the misc section about it, lol.
A while ago a bunch of dots appeared on my leg (dots look like pimples, raised skin spots, but they dont pop.. if I try to, they just bleed pretty badly). The area behind my kneecap, where the spots are, starting itching badly, so i itched it and now the skin there is rough. The doctor gave me some topical cream but all it does is make the roughness from the itching go away, and does nothing to the spots. The spots have spread now, but they are still on my left leg. There are about 2 spots near my buttocks, and a few down closer by my feet. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea what this might be, or if anyone has ever had this before, and what I should do to get rid of this.

nah these are too big to be hair follicles. Could be sweating-related. but then in that case how come it isn't happening on my right leg?

I took a picture but i dont know why but the picture is foggy as hell. I drew circles in paint over some of the more visible spots. Notice the red skin.

inflammed folicles.
I have it too, happens during summer, do you by chance have blonde hair and blue eyes? my dermotologist said that that being fair complected can be the cause....
take an antibiotic.

Also... the picture is not good. you can't really get a good idea of how big some of the spots are... most of them are about the size of a letter "o" lowercase on this computer. The raised dot is all white.

I realize this is 2 years late, but what you seem to have is chiggers. The are extremely common in the southeast, perhaps other places as well, and especially spring-summer.
It would account for getting on one leg and not the other (I once had 50 on just one leg, not another). Chiggers prefer brushy areas and long grass but you could get by walking by a clump of something
They prefer warm moist places like back of leg, groin, anywhere clothes are tight (waistband, anklebands etc) but can also just cover a leg.
They can cause red spots but some people don't see them.
They can itch like crazy for weeks and almost nothing relieves it althoug something like Chiggerrex Plus, or things with benzocaine, can help. Antihistamines like benadryl might help, too.
