The **OFFICIAL** Bad Day Thread

I've had a bad day and I wanna vent, so I've made a thread so we all can complain and whatnot.

To start, I had one of the worst days ever at work (I work at a cafe/restaurant). First, I have a cold or allergies or something because my nose is stuffed and my ears keep plugging. I also didn't get much sleep last night. So then all the douchebag customers decide to come in today. I had a couple big orders ($40+) and did I get a tip? Nopers. Then I had a couple stupid people. Convo went like this:

Customer: Yeah can I have a curry enchillada?
Me: Full or half order?
C: Well what's that one? (points to a small enchillada)
M: That's a half.
C: Well I'll get a spaghetti and shephard's pie.
M: Did you want full or half orders?
C: Full.
M: Both come with garden salads, what kind of dressing would you like?
C: Well is the fruit a salad.
M: No that costs $3 extra.
C: What about the greek? (By this time I'm getting annoyed)
M: All of our special salads are $3 extra.
C: Okay I'll get a garden salad.
M: What kind of dressing would you like???

Total idiot...

Then I had people go on the computer and order a smoothie. So I sign them onto the computer and start making their drink, and two seconds later they ask for it. I'm sorry but I am not magic and I can't make your smoothie in two seconds.

The only good thing about my day was that I got off an hour early and I made okay tips.

So how was your day?

1) worked 11-7 last night and my relief didn't show up till 8:30 a.m.

2) i also didn't get a break during my shift last night: had to work all 8hrs. straight through.

3) got less than 6 hrs. sleep today

4) drove into work tired and i have to work another 11-7 shift


my work also involves me sitting at a desk and getting cursed at by people on a regular basis. i won't go into much detail, but the job feels a lot like being a clown in a dunk tank.

That sucks. I hate it when you can't rely on other people and you end up doing extra work/not getting a break.

I wake up every morning hoping that the sunrise will rouse the joy within me...but sometimes I feel like it'll never bloom again. I haven't felt that happiness I've been searching for in many, many years. *sigh*

Yeah I do have a pretty easy job. Usually I really enjoy it. But when other people are stupid, it pisses me off.

reps man..at work right now and I work the exact same hours 11-7. U and I must have similar jobs cuz i feel the same way you do on the job..man this is going to be a long night!
