Talking Cheat Days? Anyone?

Anyone here practice a cheat day?

If building?

If Cutting?

One meal? Whole Day? Ideas anyone?

I've gone to maintenance for a while to recoop a bit, and I do about 3 "cheats" a month, but it consists of Cold Stone Sinless Sans Fat Ice Cream with Sprinkles and Carmel Syrup!! lol. 390 cals..and I always get it PRE workout, the rest of my day is the same routine really. Maybe a whole wheat, egg white french toast with sugar free syrup in the AM, but it's proportioned correctly n all..

I've heard they trick your body out of starvation mode...but does it hinder your progress? I don't do like Cheesecake Factory like back in the day, but the healthy versions.. homemade and clean.. or fat free fro-yo.

I used to do cheat MEAL once a week, and then i started to plateau, so now i only do it like once a month or so. And to me its "healthy eating" for most average people. You have to have something you enjoy once in a while to keep from binging and keeping your sanity

Today was too much celebrating. It shouldn't have been a day but it was! Ugh. I feel better on a cheat MEAL every other week.

I feel comfortable with one meal, every two weeks or so. sometimes I don't even want it. Usually its a night of dinner, drinking and dancing. I'd say that its usually pretty healthy and my macros are all present. My bf and I will split a desert and try not to finish it. It's never a whole cheat day or fast food or any of that crap. yuck. I always laugh when people bust thier tails all week and have an all out feast for a whole day. Ridiculous.

I do a "carb refeed" every wednesday and saturday where I eat a lot more carbs than usual and my cals go up by around 500 or to maintanence level, and the food is all clean - just more of oatmeal and sweet potatoes. I never cheat though, I don't think I have once. I never really have the urge to. Maybe because my idea of a cheat would be someting like 2 cups of oatmeal and banana protein powder...lol.
