A lack of soreness doesn't *necessarily* indicate a lack of strain put on the muscles. If you're doing the most you can when you're lifting, completely busting your balls, then don't worry about not being sore. Think of it more as a blessing, that you have quick recovery.
If you're looking to bring on the pain, however, just switch up your routine. An especially sore transition for me was from a typical split, chest/tris, back/bis, shoulders/abs, into Rippetoes. I felt those first workouts for a good while.
Let me tell you from experience, feeling sore all the time is not the way to go. It'll make you hate what you do in the gym.The strongest weak guy you'll ever meet.

the soreness is from lactic acid which by memory seeps through microtears in the muscle fibres. If you start having less burn/soreness then that means that ur lactic acid levels are low/dropped meaning that your muscles are getting used to being work, less acid is a good thing!
once u change ur routine and shock ur muscles the LA should kick in again. The muscles go through a hard time adapting to different learning curves.
Also if ur using creatine this may be the cause as it buffers lactic acid a fair bit, not completely but quite noticably!
hope this helps! ;-)I started as a twig, I didn't turn fat into muscle, I turned nothing into muscle, I worked my ass off! I might not be big but what I have is pure muscle and im proud of it! Can you say the same?

wrong, lactic acid buildup has absolutely nothing to do with muscle soreness.
During your lifts you have a positive portion of the lift where you muscle is contracting and shortening and you have a negative portion of a lift where you muscle is contracting and lengthening. In the negative portion because your muscle is undergoing a stretch tiny little tears result in the muscle fibers. So basically negatives are the main reason you get sore muscles... therefore if you really wanna be sore focus on slow negatives and static stretched positions.
