Should i do LSS or HIIT in between full body splits

first post so go easy. Looking to cut and maintain/ possibly add muscle mass while doing 3 full body splits a week with 2 LSS cardio sessions in between. Just wanting to know if the LSS would be effective with goals and will it kick my body out of an anabolic state. Or should I do HIIT on those days instead? Thanks

It's completely up to your personal preference. If you like LISS, do it. If you like HIIT, do it. Choosing one over the other will not make a difference.

Also interested in this question - I do more SS cardio, not necessarily Low Intensity, though, I "run" more than "jog" but I just do a steady state run for 3-4 miles a few times/week. Every now and then I'll throw in a HIIT.

Generally people say HIIT is better for muscle retention, because they are shorter bursts of intensity, more akin to anaerobic activity like lifting weights...also that they burn more calories over a 24 hour period, while not taking as long, but I happen to like good old "running" lol - nothing else makes me feel quite as fit and active as going for a traditional run and pushing myself a little. And I haven't had any issues with steady state running, personally. I think as long as you're not running for distance, like marathons etc, you don't have to worry about it eating your muscle up. Just make sure you're still lifting and getting enough protein and IMO you will be fine.
