Opps?? I have an old tendon injury (Iam 32) and was wearing some neoprene knee sleeves tonight and my left knee got a lil hurt while doing leg presses. I had done squats working up to 405x9 and then 405x8. On the squats I had the knee sleeves on and then wrapped on top of that. Then I put 8 plates/side on the leg press and on the first rep my left knee kind of felt strained to I stopped and ended the leg workout. On the leg press I had the knee sleeves but NOT the wraps. I usually go up to 10 plates/side before I wrap my knees.
So is it a mistake to use knee sleeves AND wraps on squats or leg presses????
I was just trying to keep my knees real warm, but maybe the wrap over my woorkout pants and then over the knee sleeves created some odd pressures.
If you have bad knees then i would use wraps for both squats and leg presses, but try just using the wraps while doing the sets and the sleeves while resting to keep the knees warm.
If you knees get too bad i would reccomend visiting a specialist!
