    am i a creatine nonresponder?

I've been taking creatine for about 3 weeks now but have not gained much weight. I drink a good amount of water(maybe aroudn 7 or 8 glasses a day, is that enough?) I did not do a loading phase so maybe i'll have to wait for a little bit longer than 3 weeks.

The thing is I have been lifting more even though my body really hasnt gained much weight. Should I quit taking it or maybe try for around 3 more weeks?

I think you should keep going, I'd finish the jar off, no use buying something, using some, then put it up to never use again. Give it more time. Also, how much weight have you gained?

i've said this so many times on this board, and yet nobody seems to agree with me.

people are WAY TOO QUICK to label themselves as non responders to creatine.

I mean if it weren't for this board, the term non responder to creatine would not even exist.

If you are displeased with your result you could try:

taking it with R-ala, dextrose, or other products which result in an insulin spike.

Do this in combination with increasing the dosage.

you should have gained some water weight by now, but are you eating enough?

Finish your container and drink at least 80 ounces a day, more if you can. Once you have finished the container, go 10 days without. If you are not a responder you shouldn't notice any change, if you respond to creatine you'll know it.

always do the proper load and then start making the assumptions.......it is important to load to saturate the muscles and then start the maintence dose, if not it will take a good while before the muscles are good and saturated.......it is also good to reload after an extended maintence dose period......

oh i think it's possible, and it happens. and you know what your doing, so i have no reason to not believe you. HOWEVER, i think since the term started getting thrown around, people are using it as a quick excuse as to why there not seeing the results they want, instead of looking at there diet and or split, or whatever other factors might come into play. but that's just my opinion

I never really responed to creatine much so I gave up on it years ago. I just heard about a product called Swole that is suppose to work for non-responders. I'll keep you posted on how I like it.

First of all how is your diet?, you wont respond without solid nutrition. Second of all to do no loading phaze then after 3 weeks start talking about non-responding is crazy. You need to post your diet, training program and then people may be able to help you. I also reccomend spiking you insulin levels when you consume your creatine. Do this with a lil dextose and either ALA or vanadyl sulphate or both. This worked fine for me, also what do you take your creatine with and what brand and type is it (pure, delivery etc). If you are using cell-tech do not even talk to me or post on this board again. Jkin!
