Bammy's Ab-solved review

Today I'm starting my review of absolved at 8 pumps a day. Thanks, Avant Labs, for giving me the oportunity to review this product.

Stats:
21 yrs.
6'
148 lbs
10% bf

I work out with a four day split and I do HIT cardio or ab work on one of my off days every week.

The reason I'm reviewing ab-solved is to see its effectiveness on burning VAT (the fat beneath the muscle). I have a six pack, but unless I hold it in, my stromach area is rounded.

This is how my abs look when flexed, (i'm sucking it in).

And this is how they look when i relax. There is definitely some fat under there. Keep in mind that both pics were taken in the morning on an empty stomach. You can imagine how I look after a big meal.

I'll keep this updated as I see results, or after 30 days. This is my first log so please give me suggestions and comments on how I could make it better, or what I could do to get optimal results out of ab-solved. If you want to see how my results are going just ask and I'll post a new pic.

5/31/04 - Day 2

I've noticed something different already. This weekend was my girlfriends birthday, so we had cake. I try to eat healthy, but when there's birthday cake, I just can't help myself. I ussaully have 2 pieces, I love the stuff. Well last night after dinner, there was left over cake and I just had no desire to eat it. NONE. And I alway love cake. I have no idea if that had anything to do with ab-solved, but I thought I would mention it, because me not wanting birthday cake is unheard of!

I heard that excessive cortisol makes you crave carbs in the evenings/before bed, and that craving does hit me quite frequently. Maybe my cortisol is already being kept in check by the ab-solved.

6/2/04 day 4

Nothing new to report. No real body changes yet. Although carb cravings are somewhat less than they used to be (whether related to absolved or not). Hopefully I will start to see something after a week's use.

Man o' man... I'd kill to have abs like that man, you dont even need to be using Ab-Solved. I should be the one using it at 13% BF - none the less, good luck.

6/4/04 Day 6

Still no change to report on VAT. However, I think I may be dropping some subcutaneous fat. My abs are looking a little more cut, but still pouch out when i relax. I would like to start doing some additional cardio, but I have been incredibly busy due to my summer A+P course and my new job at Gold's Gym. Yesterday I sold my first membership. I was so pumped! Anyway, I'm gonna up cardio to 2 days a weeks and see if that speeds the effects of absolved.

I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for the support.

I definitely agree with MusclesFlyers and Technique. You look very thin and ripped, and don't look like you need anything at all for fat reduction. EVERYONE's stomach sticks out a little when they relax. It's natural. You have to be sickly thin or have a bodyfat % so low that it's unhealthy, or have great genetics in order to have a defined 6-pack while relaxing or sticking out your stomach.

Anyway, if you really believe that you have fat on your abs (which from the pics, it looks like you don't), you shouldn't be using Ab-Solved anyway. Lipoderm-Ultra would be much more effective, and would get rid of any water you're retaining on the spot of application in order to monitor your progress more closely. Just a suggestion. Good Luck.

muscleflyers-- Why is lipoderm-ultra better for someone with low bodyfat? I thought it and absolved were competing products.

Anyone here like lipoderm-ultra?

Basically they say on the AV website that it is for the last thin layer of fat.

Ab-Solved and Lipoderm-Ultra are made at the same company.

They say that when you are high BF that you will have more VAT, that is why you take Ab-Solved.

I love Lipoderm-Ultra.

4 pumps in the morning, 4 pumps in the evening, spaces 12 hours apart. So 100 mg a day. It has to be shaken well so the liquid is evenly mixed, by the way, or I don't think you don't get an even distribution of the ingredients.

Looking at your pics, it is very unlikely that you have signifcant VAT.

When one has a lot of VAT, it does not manifest itself with a protrusion in the lower abs, that is just a muscle thing (either slightly weak lower abs or hip felxors that are too tight).

VAT mainfests itself as a protrusion starting right below the chest. Take a look at Ronnie Coleman or about any other pro bodybuilder for a dramtic example.

your way too thin to be using that kind of stuff. Your stomach kinda looks like it sticks out more than it really does because your skinny and probably need to develop your upper body(chest) more and it'll be a lot less noticeable then.

I agree with some of the others...at most a little water weight is all you need to worry about. You're already very lean.

What type of look are you hoping to acheive with AB-Solved? I don't think it can do much more for you, but it would work better for someone who has a bit higher bf %

I know I'm very lean. I just thought it might help keep my stomach form sticking out like that. I know its not a big deal, but tons of vuccums, hight rep, and low rep ab work don't seem to be helping that at all. If the ab-solved helps, then good, if it doesn't, I'll just accept it.

I've never seen someone who's stomach didn't stick out a bit when relaxed. A guy at my gym has 6-8% BF year round and when he stands relaxed his stomach sticks out farther than his chest. His chest is pretty large as well. Mine does the same thing @ 10-11%. If I think about it I can keep it sucked in constantly though.

Well, I guess when you're done with the product and if it helps with that part, perhaps you should recommend it to some pro's...

I think what par might be saying is that you might a have slight lordosis going on in the lower back. Basically lordosis is swaying of the lower back caused by tight hip flexors and hams and a weakening of the lower abs therefore causing a forward tilt in the pelvis. This is common in people who strength train and do not practice enough stretching. Try going on google and do a search for lordosis it should give you some ideas of how to combat it. Basically you will probably see alot of stretching movements for the hip flexors and the hams.

Thanks, I think that makes a lot of sense. Ever since high school, every time I went to one of those sports physicals, they told me I had a problem with extremely tight hamstrings. And of course in lacrosse and cross country, we always did good stretching, yet year after year I had the same problem. I'm going to check lordosis out, and if anyone has any advice on the hams, please chime in.

Having tight hams also makes it very hard to go low on SLDLs without rounding the back.
