That's rediculous, it's all weight that ur lifting it's not like ur only lifting the plates and the bar isnt' putting down any weight, if there is 45lbs on each side ur not only lifting 90 lbs, but in reality if u put that on a scale it would be 135 lbs. If ur doing dumbells at the gym do u think that those companies that make the dumbells don't add the weight of the dumbell into it? I was always wondering how 2 7 1/2 lb. plates equal 20 lbs on a dumbell, I thouhgt it only equaled 15 lbs or why it says 30 lbs when the weights on it only add up to 25 lbs I guess u don't count it as 25lbs, but what it says on the side and that's 30lbs

of course you count the bar your when deadlift, bench, curl, any thing, count ALL the weight your lifting.Cutting till 150lbs, approx. b/f-11%
