Is it possible to have slow released whey?

I know whey gets absorbed by the system quick. And (correct me if i'm wrong) sugar is added to most whey protein to make the absorption quicker.

My question is, do some things like milk actually slow down the absorption of whey?
Is it possible to enjoy the high protein benefits of whey without your body using up all the protein up all at once? This would be helpful when you know you won't eat for a while again.

look into casein protein since it's released slowly for 5-7hrs. one way to slow down digestion is to add in some fiber.

I thought about the casien, but whey seems cheaper. Interesting about fiber, so you're not sure if milk slows down the whey?

fiber and fat will slow down the digestion of anything. If you were to drink it with 2% milk that would slow it down a bit.

if they were to make an effective 'time released' whey, it would certainly cost more than casein. milk protein is mostly casein, which is why it is absorbed slower than pure whey. however if it is a point in the day when you want slow protein release then chances are you dont want the insulin spike caused by the lactose.
