Tibilais Raise & Scott Curls???
Hi everybody, I was just checking & reading in the Workout Data Base; and saw a couple of Interesting routines, the problem is: I'm not an expert lifting and these exercises got me blank minded. So any one could explain me what are "Tibilais raise" & "Scott curls"? or where I can find Images or something?
Thanks...

Scott curls and preacher curls are the same exercise.
There are many variations of Tibialis Raises...it's hard to say which one it is: http://exrx.net/Lists/ExList/CalfWt.html#anchor1929502

I have seen Scott curls done a different way, more like a concentration curl. Insted of using the preacher bench, do almost a reverse preacher curl. Place your armpits ontop of the preacher bench and curl.

I do something else for the tibialis, here's a description for what it's worth:
You sit on a bench lengthwise, with your knees together and positioned over the very edge of the bench. You want your knees supported by the bench but your calves should be clear of the bench and resting at something like a 45 degree angle.
Put a dumbell on the floor, standing on its end and grasp it between your feet. Scoot yourself back a few inches on the bench so your knees are now fully supported by the bench. Using your quads to stabilize and raise your calves just off the ground, you then dorsi-flex your feet in unison while holding the weight between them.
If there's any advantage over those other tibialis exercises, I suppose it would be the ability to use different, progressive weights and that you're recruiting and using more leg musculature.

Yes I was.
I was told Scott curls were Spider Curls. The link that papi posted for spiders curls is what I was describing.
Yes use the preacher bench for scott curls and spider curls.
