I think a private police firm would do really well down here in miami. a lot of people dont trust the police, like prostitutes and drug dealers. I could really make a killing with these people, and just the average person who wants a change
id just get a number to call, kinda like 911, but itd have to be longer. wed make arrests, have a small jail, you know cop stuff. maybe wed have traffic cops who pull people over and give them tickets. but still, were a private business not affiliated with the real police. of course wed still carry guns and have our own canines and stuff.
so is this **** legal, and whos in?

Don't be afraid to make mistakes, stumble and fall, because most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe, you'll get everything you wish for. Maybe, you'll get more then you could ever have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long, and in the end - - the journey is the destination.

the problem is, i dont know if theyd still have to serve the sentence in a regular jail, like i wonder if the business could write the person an exemption from the regular police. because it would cost too much to keep them at our place for long. although we could just say murder gets the death penalty

It's like The Punisher, only instead of killing murderers, he's booking them for 3 weeks...

Where's the money coming from? Oh, so you're going to charge inmates for their stay? What if they say F U? Going to keep them in jail for free longer?

this is by far the most retarded thread I have read all day. Listen even if they were legal I think you would have to have an IQ of say at least 68 to open one.

i dont know, i guess they can pay the 3 week stay, or they get the death penalty. so that way theyll have to pay or they get the firing squad or whatever. well make money through traffic tickets and people paying for us to help them.
like lets say someone is breaking in. one of our convenient locations may be closer to the scene.
it wont cost too much to start, it we be me and my uncles probably. we all have guns, cuz its a big hunting family

Closest thing I could even think of is a security firm, where you can do some police stuff, but you certainly can't hold people in prison and most definitely can't pull people over and issue them tickets. Sounds like you want to start your own militia...

The police aren't a company, they're a government agency. That's like saying that the FBI have a monopoly on federal crimes, or the courts have a monopoly on law making. While you're at it, why not make your own court system where people can go for rulings if they feel that the government courts aren't right for them?

You can do that, but you can't charge them any money.
Nor do you have the ability to do anything other than deliver them safely to you know, the real police.-Chris

Actually, I want you to tell him about your idea to institute your own private death penalty for "inmates" who refuse to pay your fees. And why would his officers quit? Where are you going to get money for your firm? Are you going to be like - okay we ran those crooks off, now pay up? That's like a bum washing your windshield and asking for cash. If the inmates are to pay, how are you going to make them? Do you think most criminals have many assets anyway?

Ok let me explain:
At first, ill use friends and family, so it wont cost much.
well get some loans from the bank to open up the station.
people will call us to help out. well will have better service than cops. you can also call us if you do illegal stuff and we wont rat you out. like, prostitutes could call us if the guy doesnt pay.
well we get money from traffic tickets. we will pull people over, because we will have lights and sirens too (different colours though).
if people dont pay they go to jail. if they dont pay the jail fee they get the death penalty
