TCBY guy told me their food is good for you!
The owner os a TCBY store in town keeps telling me their food is "no fat" (meaning it is made of 0% fat...just 100% carbs). He told me that "no fat" foods mean you can eat as much as you want and not get physically fat. Is this really how people think..."no fat" = eat as much as you want and not get physically fat? One of those TCBY cups of ice cream is 600 calories. If you eat 6 of them you just earned 3,600 calories and gained 1 lb.

Newman: Hello, Jerry. Say, this yogurt is really something, huh? And
it's non-fat! I've been waiting for something like this my
whole life! And it's finally here!

I think it's a common misconception, although perhaps not to that extent.
If only it were true... I'd be eating a lot more candy Ever notice how packages of skittles and twizzlers proudly proclaim they're fat free? Perfect health food!

Why do you think the obesity epidemic really swung into high gear once people took up the "no fat" lifestyle? Millions of people believe the crap that TCBY guy is telling you, and overeat "no fat" foods to the tune of hundreds or thousands of calories a day.

of course they think that way lol... it definitely is not limited to tcby though.
A lady today at work today said
"peanuts are bad for your blood pressure"
I am going to start compiling a list of all the stuff I hear people say on a daily basis. That will be the starter...

My mom was on a diet once that only counted grams of fat. It worked *cough* wonderfully!

...haha it amazes me how clueless some ppl can be!...like today i heard one of these clueless statements...a girl in class was talking about krispy kreme donuts and she said "i'm proud of myself! instead of a creme filled donut yesterday i decided to have 2 of the new whole wheat ones instead to be healthier!"...i was just thinking hmm if only you knew you just ingested 7 grams of trans fat! but that's whatever, great job!....drives me crazy!

Personally, I like to go to TCBY and get nonfat no sugar added frozen yogurt (Irish cream-chocolate swirl) with almond slivers. And in no way is that a cheat.

Not as stupid as the 700 lb. woman I saw on a TV show once who thought it was normal to eat a 9000 calorie/day diet...mostly made up of junk food.
