    rookie question

    i lift 35 weight dumbbells and was wondering is it a good idea to start lifting 25 weight dumbbell 2 reps then 30 weight dumbbell 2 reps then 35 weight dumbbell 2 reps is that a good idea to get my bicep more stronger and toner.just a question i needed to know sorry if its way to confuseing.

    You want to be able to do 6-8 reps every set, so if you can't do that much with the 35's then yes, you should lower the weight. Doing 2 reps isn't going to get you very far. If you can do the 35's, you can probably do 8 reps with the 25's, so I would start off with those and move up if it's too easy.

    As a general guideline:

    14-20 reps - muscular endurance
    8-12 reps - muscular hypertrophy

    Pick the rep range that fits your goal.
