Hey people. I'm new here because I need some advice. I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs. I've always been kinda lean but I've decided I want build muscle. I've been doing the exercises but I have a nutrition question.
I know I should consume about a gram of protein per lb. of body weight (155 grams in my case). I plan on gaining about a lb. of muscle per week. What I don't know is how many calories I should be eating in a day or how many grams of carbs. I did a rough count the other day and I think I only consumed about 2,000 calories. I know that isn't enough but I don't know what I how much should be eating.
Also, given that gaining muscle mass involves eating a lot of food, am I going to eat that much on the days that I don't work out? Thanks for any input.
