Yesterday all the unloaded barbells where being used and I wanted to do some bent rows so I tried out the row machine and it was my first time and I got a wicked pump... wicked workout out of it and for the first time my lats where sore the next day (they are hard to work for me for some reason). I also have become acustom to using the overhead press machine more which for me isolates the delts way more and alows me to really push out those last few reps and hold the weight above my head for a couple of secs to fatigue my delts.
Anyways i'm wondering how much should I be using free weights vs machines when for these 2 excersises they feel way better.

I say 50/50. Spend time on them machines and time on them free weight exercises. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Machines tend to isolate particular muscles more than free weights, however free weights give you a far greater degree of angle for different exercises which allows for some insane pumps with proper form.
Just mix and match. Thats what I do. I tend to go the machines more anyway because of the bigger pumps I get.Owe more reps to:

free weights are much better to build mass...but machines are excellent for precision and getting perfect form down.
