im planning on doing muscle media's benchpress routine sometime soon. it emphasizes negative reps. my current max is around 200. so ill be doing negatives with like 220 or so. is one spotter enough? i have 3 different workout partners ( little brother, dad, and friend-but not all at same time-whoever is able to go to gym when i do) that are all weaker than i am. should i be worried about them not being able to pull the weight up?
one is plenty, they could bascially reach down with one hand and in the middle and help yank it up. its not hard. u can almost do it yourself so they don't have to apply that much pressure.

If you can, have a spotter on each side of the barbell. Let them practice spotting you with an empty barbell. That way they will know what to do when the time comes for your set.
