new strength but no mass
it's pretty weird, but all of my poundages have increased lately(20lbs+ ecxept bench press, only 10) but i havent gotten any new arm mass. My chest, back, shoulders, quads, hams, and calves have grown, but theyve left my arms behind. it's especially annoying for my triceps, they havent grown. My dips went from needind 20lbs of assistance to 55lbs of resistance (dipping belt). While i know strength doesnt equal size neccesarily, there should at least be some gains. additionally, i've limited my # of excercises on arm day to between 2 or 3, so i cant be overtraining and i frequently change the order and the excervises themselves.
heres my arm program
3x10 - weighted dips
3x10 - barbell curl/preacher (either or)
3x10 - Triceps pushdowns (i think thats what they're called)
3x10 - Dumbell/hammer curl (either or)
2x12 - Overhead dumbell extentions

BIG BUMP
When ur a noob, what happens? Increase in strength, then an increase in mass.
What happens when you begin steriods? Rapid strength gains, followed by mass gains.
(note those who get stronger get bigger)
Edit: Steriods are bad, yuk, yuk, bad bad bad!!!

What are you complaining about, arms aren't the be all and end all of bbing, just the No.1 show off muscle. If all your other muscles have grown don't worry it's all good, maybe try focussing on your arms a bit more, eg give them a seperate day.

are you training to failure? i'm not sure exactly how it works, but i know that when you go to failure, your body can't recruit as many new muscle fibers to help gain more muscle, but it gets the cns more efficient at lifting. when you don't go to failure, your body can increase muscle better, but you don't get as much strength gains.
note: its a lot more indepth than i just explained, and i'm not sure that i'm 100% right everything i said, but i know for sure that training to failure = strength, training not to failure = more muscle
this doesn't mean not lift a lot of weight if you want to gain muscle, it just means don't lift until you can't any more.

So true. It will come. My arms took forever to grow, but now I'm really noticing size gains. Took almost a year.

My general template is as such
Sunday: Chest/Back
Monday: Upper Legs (hams/quads) and lower back(erectors)
Tuesday: Calves/fores/abs
Wednesday: rest
Thursday: rest
Friday: Arms
Saturday: Shoulders
I change the days up as my schedule demands, but this is pretty much it. I usually eat 2100-2300 calories (kind of lot since i'm 6'0 140lbs) and get all my protein. Seems like i should be patient though
