I'am 5'11 220-225 and play MLB
I run 5.2 forty time.
And have the best bench on my team (haven't maxed in a while but its pushin 300).
My question is how much strength should I expect to lose if I start doing alot of cardio and lose some weight?
I want to play more in the 205-210 range because I would be able to run faster and pursuit sideline to sideline better. While still being bigger than the other LBs on my team.
also for you guys out there that did lose weight how long did it take you to lose a good 15-20 pounds?

yeah that'd be great anyway since thats when the Canada Cup is.
I just wanna show up for HS football light because my football coach/workout coach says he thinks i'am too big right now to play LB plus i'am stronger than every Lineman moving up.
what type of cardio should I be doing? I'am already practicing 5+ days a week and we do about 20 minutes of conditioning after every practice anyway. lifting a consitent 4 days. Should I just try and eat real well with a schedule like this? or should I be doing some exra stuff like jump rope,agility runs and windsprints at home?Last edited by Honey#43; 05-08-2004 at 04:50 PM.
