CKD help

i started this diet this week and so far its going well. i will soon do my first carb load. how can i tell that iv reached ketosis without the ketone sticks? i cant find them anywhere.

and iv read in articles that i should eat 80%fat, 20% protein for 2 or so days after the carb load to reach ketosis faster. should i do this?

also i know i shouldnt eat fat with the post workout meal. i also read not to eat many fats in the meal before either. is this true too?

dont be too concerned if you're in ketosis or not. get the desired calorie and macro. ketosis itself is not a good indicator of fat loss for that matter

IMHO, as long as there is minimum amount of carbs and fair calorie deficit, I dont think 65% vs 80% would make too big of a difference.

If the meal is 60-90min prior to workout it will be okay. But, within 0-30min of workout, try to avoid fat.

If you have a day where you are drinking normally, but peeing like a race horse, and next morning, you find you've dropped 3 or more pounds, that's you shedding the water weight as you enter ketosis. You'll gain it back on carb-up and drop it again afterwards.

You'll probably develop your own personal way of telling, like a taste in your mouth, the smell of your urine, or a change in energy levels. I only ever do non-essential housework like hoovering when I'm in ketosis.

ok that helps a lot guys thanx. and i did notice after 2 days of this diet i woke up a few hours before normal needing to pee really bad. then again in a few hours of sleep. so i guess i reached it. of course i also felt the "dead"feeling of no carbs like after a day.
