How many bottled waters equal a gallon

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this, but I estimated that one needs to consume at least eight bottled waters to equal a gallon.

Eight is correct if you're talking about pint (16 oz.) bottles - which are probably the most common.

I've been buying the one liters, four of those will give you a gallon. And there are four servings in each of those. I also keep the bottles and refill them...saves money!

Those plastic bottles aren't meant to be refilled. After about two weeks, the chemicals in the plastic start to break down and will be in your water. Your better off with a bottle (Nalgene or Camelbak) which is made to be refilled.

I always thought the main concern with reusing plastic water bottles was germs. The ones intended for one time use tend to be hard to clean properly, whereas nalgene bottles have a nice wide mouth that allows a bottle brush to be used.

I wouldn't get upset about alarmist opinions. I've been using refilled plastic bottles for 8 years during my workouts and have never had a problem.

I go through 4 to 5 twenty four ounce bottles during a workout and afterwards. I also freeze the water for 15-20 minutes before I go to the gym. Cold water is alot easier and tastier to drink.

Amen...I had a couple of half-full water bottles in the car the other day (one from the drive to work, one from the lunch period) and we got off early. The one from lunch was still cold, I had just carried it to the car with me, and the other had been sitting there since 530 that morning....windows up...80 degrees out...guess which one I grabbed! It was so warm it was almost HOT...I almost puked right there LOL
