According to urban legend, it was invented at Mulligan's bar in the Oakhurst, neighborhood of Decatur, Georgia on a day when the cook ran out of hamburger buns and decided to use two donuts instead. Its creator named the sandwich after R&B legend Luther Vandross, who reportedly enjoyed the sandwich; some rumors claim that Vandross himself invented his namesake burger.[1] Ironically, Vandross died of complications from a stroke--not a heart attack--at the age of 54.
Marketed Products
In 2006, the Gateway Grizzlies baseball team of the Frontier League of Sauget, Illinois began selling a donut-based burger, under the name Doughnut Burger, as a ballpark sandwich. This product had a hamburger patty topped with sharp cheddar cheese and two slices of bacon with a sliced Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut as the bun.
The owner of Mulligan's pub, Chandler Goff, has sold the rights to the Luther Burger to the Atlanta Braves, who will begin selling them at Turner Field in 2006 or 2007. [citation needed]
The sandwich is estimated to contain 1,000 calories and 45 grams of fat.

Fifth rule, cheats will go on as long as they have to. And the sixth and final rule, if this is your first night at cheat club, you have to cheat.

wow, that was a serious cheat meal, not a healty looking thing on any of those plates. Minus the hot dog, that hamdog thing sounds pretty damn good. You're stomach must have been pissed of at you later.
Nice work.Last edited by GymGuy; 09-23-2006 at 12:56 PM.

ha.. thanks... yeah the plates weren't very healty at all
Funny thing is was that I had eaten poorly all week on vacation and that meal didn't really phase my stomach at all. I got a plethora of little debbie's a short while later when we filled up for gas.
That week really was just a mess.

Ok, so went out for me cheat meal last night. Instead of my usual "all you can eat" sushi fest, i decided to mix it up cuz the GF wanted pasta.
-2 whole wheat roll in olive oil/vinegar
-Greek toast appetizer (3 slices of baked spinach crust with melted cheeses, artichoke mix, tomatoes, and pesto)
-1 whole teryaki marinated thin crust pizza (grilled chicken, roasted bell peppers, feta and mozza cheese, teryaki glaze)
-a few bites of the GF's pasta
Now everything listed was exactly what I ate alone. We were so full that we could barely breath, so we decided to skip dessert. After we got home and chilled for about 40 min. we needed dessert!
I then proceeded to have vanilla ice cream with fudge brownies from a local ice cream place. Sleep was not easy to come by last night. Time for cardio and leg workout today

I don't know on what food I could cheat. I've eaten everything I was craving for in my last cheat DAY. Pizza, sausage McMuffin, donuts...
I need alcohol

Man, do I need a GOOD cheat. I consider a white dinner roll, stuffing in my chicken and a piece of wedding cake a pretty bad one!

OK OK, now i know that it isnt the weekend, but my GF and i needed to have our cheat asap.....this week has been hectic. We went all out on sushi.
All you can eat, and you have to eat all you order. I kept the sushi fill out card, so i know exactly what we got.
-rainbow roll
-spicy tuna roll
-crunch roll
-tuna sushi
-tuna sushi
-spider roll
-alaska roll
-caterpillar roll
-spider roll
-crunchy shrimp roll
-crunchy lettuce wrap
each roll has between 6-8 pieces, averaging 350-600 cals a roll. Note:WE ATE IT ALL>>>> i got down about 70% of it though
I better see some good cheats this weekend. Kinda wish i didnt cheat that much, considering the awesome progress i have seen this last week. Oooooo wellllll

Whoa, there are some nice cheats on here. Far far better than I have ever thought possible haha.
I'll post two of mine which I thought are pretty bad (especially considering i'm quite light and tall : 145pd 6"0), but which pale in comparison to some of the efforts i've read here.
My first cheat.
Half a loaf of fruit loaf bread.
Half a loaf of pene di caza bread.
Half a meat lovers pizza.
Large serving of icecream
My second cheat.
Half a tub of peppermint choc chip ice cream
Half a tub of crunchy peanut butter.
2 large pieces of fruits of the forest cake.
About 10 crackers
Half a loaf of generic white bread.
Hmm, i'm sure there was more than that. Haha oh well. I'll have to work on it.

pizza
yesterday, I went to Old Chicago's here in lawrence KS, and had two big slices of chicago style pizza.......Its reminded me that food acctuall tastes good, though it made me sick at the same time, given that I had just diverged from my diet.....****, and I had just brougt myself down to 136, and that means I only have 6 pounds to go to reach my final goal, though I may have to lower it, cause I still continue to have too much loose fat in my midsection.

damn iam running 50 miles on mid nov, I might burn 5,000-5,500 cals that day. My bulk diet is already >4500 cals, so I guess I have to eat >10k cals that day, sounds fun. I think I could destroy the oats cheat right now.
