How long have you been lifting? I never get too sore anymore but I'm still gaining.

If you've been lifting for over a year, and still getting painfull soreness, there is a chance you could be over training.

I think It is ok to be sore...If I wake up in the morning and im not sure I think to myself..."Did I do something wrong yesturday?"...But...If Im too sore to workout...which I never have been,I would just work a bodypart that's not sore.

It's good for me to be sore...I do not know how your bodyworks...But it works best for me.

I'm definitely not an expert, but even going at heavy weights I barely get sore.

Are you warming up and stretching?

SORENESS is NOT THE KEY. I've heard such from far more experience boby builders in the forum.

Correct, the sorenes is not directly related to muscle gains, although it is true that the two will often go hand in hand.
Soreness is caused by the central nervous system's imperfect recruitment of all your fibres of a particular muscle to contract together, in synchrony. Therefore, the fibres will be seperated from each other when some contract very little compared to others.

It is not this, but the actual breaking of the fibres that will result in muscle hypertrophy (growth).

topic has been beaten to death, soreness is a poor indicator of gains.

ive been lifting for about 2 years, yes most msucles get sore, some just get real stiff, regardless, it dosent make a diff.

yep. 19yrs old. 208lbs 11% bf. 28" quads. started out at 130lbs and fat. a fat ecto, the worst combo ever

i also go beyond what i though i had. what i like to do is pick a number and no matter what i have to get there. especially on legs, that can be beyond brutal.

my legs are sore to the touch for 4 days after every workout. i strive to do better EVERY workout. if i dont improve i feel like i failed and that gets me even more motivated to do better next time.
