Do you have any vids of Vettes running circles round the latest Ferraris? I would like to see. I can't see a Vette tearing up a 599 or the 430 on a track.
My dad has the Ferraro F430 F1, and it ****s over any previous car he has had, from an Aston Vanquish to an Merc SL55 AMG to his Bentley Conti GT.
The thing feels like you can't go wrong in it, and the engine sounds beautiful. It handles like a dream too.
But anyway, saying a Vette is better than a Ferrari is wrong, a Ferrari isn't about road racing, a Ferrari is a combination of prestige, exclusivity and the performance. The Vette may have the performance, but it doesn't have the prestige or exclusivity Ferraris have. You will find a very small percentage of Ferrari drivers actually driver their cars "hard" on the road compared to cheaper sports cars.
Anyway, props for buying a car like that at 21. You must be succeeding in life - my hats off to you. Looks a cool car. May I ask what you do?
Also, please say you didn't buy that over putting a deposit on a house or something?
Nice one anyway bro!Hai guise.

Thanks everyone
I'll get pics up as soon as I get it.
to clarify...
I bought it myself with my own money... I work for my dad's machine shop, and its hard work, like 12 hours a day 5 days a week sometimes 6. But that has already been discussed in way too much detail in that last thread.
Also, the Z06 is very fast.
If you search youtube.com for Z06 vids you'll find ones where the Z06 beats lambos on the highway and other awesome ones.
The car cost me $44,300.
I bought over the phone from a dealer in MI.
www.corvettesbyrickdaniel.com
He has the 2nd biggest inventory in the country and is the #1 corvette dealership in the country, so he gives great prices.
You can get the base base model for under $41,000, especially because the 08's are coming out soon.Current stats:
Bench-~280
Arms-~15.75"
BF%-Approx 13%
Weight-185
Goals at end of my 3 month stack (by July 2008):
Bench-300+
Arms- 16.25"
BF%- 11% or less
Weight- 190-195

Wiat, you're the one who used to come on here whose dad owns Ferraris, Bentleys, etc, right?
As a mater of fact, my neighbor has both a Ferrari and a Z06. As someone who personally owns both, I think he's justifiable when he says that his (and I quote) "Z06 runs circles around his Ferrari".
As for the rest of your useless post, I bothered not reading.
Oh, wait. I just bothered reading the rest of your spew...you DID refer to your dad yet again...LOL!

I love the new corvettes, but around here i see them everywhere...
i saw that someone said something about supra's...Im not saying they are better by any means, but theres just something about a supra with a nice kit and about 600 horsepower that just looks quite impressive!!!
plus they are very hard to come by nowadays

If only you waited a little longer for the LS3...

Regardless, that is a beautiful color combination you've selected. Congrats!

Didn't you also say your neighbour owned a 360? i.e an 8 year old model.
People buy the F430 and the Z06 for different reasons. The Z06 is a budget performance car that lists raw speed as the chief weapon in its armoury, the F430 starts with that speed and builds on it. In equal hands they are about neck and neck on pace. Choosing between one or the other depends partially on what you want out of a car, and largely on what your budget is. I dont expect many cross shop the two.
Me personally? I'd take a GT3RS over the both of them
