Ill be 40 at the end of June
took a few pics the other day. One thing is for sure, ill never look as good on camera as I do in my minds eye, lol. I guess in my mind I have a pic of what I WANT to look like...but the mirror or camera keeps showing me the same ol' dude who just cant seem to eat clean enough. (too worried about strength loss, lol)
Anyway, none of us should be ashamed of posting a pic of ourself...instead, if we dont like our body we should work harder on changing it. So I post this here for added motivation for myself
by the way im not toothless, lol...I just have my lips pursed
and DANG the tanning bed isnt kicking in enough yet

everyone says "nice bulk"..."thats how I want to look at the end of my bulk" etc
problem being, I have LOST like 30 lbs in the last few months. For instance I was hovering like 245....dropped to 214ish. Last couple weeks been back up to 221ish as I enjoy some good foods.
Thats how fat I was and still am, lol....I have been "cutting" and peeps r like "nice bulk'! hehe

lookin thick btu I think its time to research diet. maybe keto or at least very low carb. if you dropped the BF and held your muscle you would be amazed at the changes. but diet and dediction are key. cardio helps but is not necessary. good work and keep on truckin.

Looking thick and strong. What's impressive is how much bigger your chest and shoulders are than your waist. On most 40-year-olds it's the other way around.

thats still 20% bodyfat, lol. If I am correct from old pics of me as a teen and early 20s I am pretty much an ecto/meso.
I am 221 right now and have no business being anything over 198 even in the "off" season. I think at 198 id still be 15%, lol...but id look WAY better.

Ectomeso here too. 40? Hell, you're just getting warmed up! I didn't even do my first competition till I was 43, going on 44, racked up 7 trophies since then I hear ya on the strength thing, I'm so there. But I maintain, and have proven you can even gain strength on a calorie deficient diet. I squatted 315 for 20 below parallel, got 505 for 10 to parallel,quarter squatted 700 for 8 and hammered out 5 reps with 5 plates plus 10 a side on the hammer dec* etc, today while being on a cutting, low cal, low fat diet* carbs early, protein late. I know this is your thread, I just want to fire you u up. Here's a deal, I have 6 1/2 weeks left to my showe, to motivate each other, let's see who can lose the greater % of Bf. Whatcha think? either way, good job and good luck.
