Due to a hernia injury a few years back I was advised not to do squats and deadlifts anymore so I was wondering what were some good bodyweight exercises for the legs and is it ok to train my upper body with weights while using bodyweight to train my lower body. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
BTW I am not a bodybuilder I am just a guy who enjoys working out.

For my female clients I usually do a whole legs workout without touching weights... will blast your legs:
Bodyweight squat holding med ball in front of you x 14
-superset-
Lunges
-superset-
Swiss squat against wall x 14
-superset-
Lunges
break...repeat 2-3 times depending on how many times you can last. Also can add dumbbells to the lunges, do double lunges, reverse lunges... just get creative with it reallyWorkout journal
