When I do shoulder exercises like the Upright Row or Lateral raise I keep getting weird popping in my right shoulder. I tried to fix the way I do the exercise but it doesn't fix it. I dunno if its dangerous. It feels weird. Any comments/suggestions?

upright row = shoulder impingment = bad = drop it.
as for laterals, may be normal, some people's joints crack/pop. if there's no pain, i wouldn't overly worry then.

Shoulder popping
My shoulder has popped for decades. Unfortunately, with each pop comes momentary pain, especially when doing lat raises on the machine or when doing chest work on the Smith machine. What is doubly curious is I can think of no instance where that shoulder was injured or damaged as far back as my memory goes. It's always popped like that, but the pain with the popping has seriously impinged upon my ability to build my chest to larger proportions. If it's a rotator cuff problem, I have to honest and say most shoulder surgeries are not very successful. The last I heard, the success rate was about 50%. Unless that rate rises to 90%, I personally will just live with the discomfort.

I had this problem with a few exercises then i started doing RC exercises before every workout i do now and not had a problem since. I always loosen the shoulders up now no matter what workout i do as generally i'll use them in some way for example squats shoulder rotation to hold the bar.
