    Are there any good pre-workout supplements that can be taken with food?

    I lift in the morning, and I want to start taking a pre-workout Creatine/NO supplement, but all of the ones I've been looking into state that they must be taken on an empty stomach.

    I do not want to skip my pre-workout meal unless I can find a supplement that has a significant amount of calories.

    Is there something I can take in the morning with my pre-workout meal, or possibly use in place of my pre-workout meal?

    Sure thing. I'm cutting right now, by the way...

    5:30 AM - 1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal, 1/2 scoop ON whey

    6:00 AM - Workout

    7:00 AM - Animal Pak, PWO shake (1/2 cup dry oatmeal, 2 scoops ON whey, 1/2 a banana)

    9:30 AM - 1/2 cup brown rice, 6 oz. chicken breast, 2 cups baby spinach

    What time do you wake up and/or are willing to wake up?

    If i had your schedule above, i'd do the preworkout supplementation at 5.00/5.15am and sip it on an empty stomach. Do so for as long as you like and finish it before your first meal.

    Consume first meal.

    Done. It should work pretty well.

    Don't worry about the '30mins preworkout .. empty stomach' directions. Most of these supps work pretty good 60mins preworkout too. I find 30mins to be too short of a time (again, depending on ingredients of the product)

    I had considered this, and I might go that route, though I'd prefer not to wake up at 5.

    Yeah I looked into White Flood, but I couldn't really find any hard info on when to take it. It's good to know i can take it with carbs.

    I personally find that Basic Cuts works well with food. The cayenne pepper gives some heartburn, which taking with food tends to eliminate.
