Really low body temp

Does a body temp of 97 degrees seem way too low to you guys? thats what mine was when i woke up the other day. after having read somewhere on here about needing to increase calories if your body temp drops im going to do that for the next couple of weeks and hope it gets back to normal.

You have to measure it right when you wake up. Lower temp means slowed metabolism.

thanks eileen. im still going to boost up calories since ive been eating under 3000 for about a year (trying to get rid of what used to be a very small amount of fat but has grown way more than i wanted) and i think im killing my body by doing doing that (and i think all my strength gains have been due to 2nd stage puberty, not nutrition since havent added any actual muscle mass for the most part). i used to be a complete ecto but no more. im going to boost calories for the next 3 and half weeks (since im having surgery in 2 and a half) and see what that does.

skyline, i did measure it right after waking for that reason.

Thank you both!

after my surgery im going to give Lyle's ultimate diet 2.0 a try since im right in that area of bf %

haha. yeah. i used to be able to eat whatever i wanted and nothing would change. im pretty sure i was at a point where the more i ate the less fat i would have on me. but that was a few years ago and i had 3-5 hours of practice 5-6 days a week (water polo) but im not playin anymore so now i have all my time devoted to figuring out my nutrition stuff and working out. it may be an unhealthy obsession....
