the package says ground beef is 160 calories for every 4 oz, is that the uncooked figures or the cooked figures? Because i usually rinse my beef under water to get rid of all the fat which would lower the calories i would think. Anyways...anyone know the aproximate calories for 93% lean ground beef cooked?
Dont know the answer to your question but washing it under water will not reduce the calories. Once you start cooking it however, a good amount of fat will "drip" off essentially lowering cals.
dude tehre no f**kin way anyone is goin to be able to accuratley answer that,
just be safe n keep the totals constant to the package, that way youll be doin better then you think you are.
also paper towels soak up fat from mince, if you spot any, or chill it overnight n take off that white ****e from the sides n top...if youve got the time you know
besides that if in doubt go with fish man, i know it doesnt sound as good as mince n stuff but its 110% good for you n thats what really counts right?

Sort of. I mean, it will rinse off any grease that had cooked out of the beef but not already drained off, but it's not likely to be a significant reduction in fat unless you're cooking very fatty ground chuck and NOT draining it at all. If he's starting with 93%, there ain't much there to begin with.
But you're right, in theory. Some will wash off.

Hey gosh boy he did not specify if he was doing it before of after cooking. I assumed before because that was what his question was about the whole time. EVen after its cooked I'll bump with zach.

Ok tuff guy show me where he specified. I hate little no talent gosh clowns like you who try to flame people with absolutly no basis. I will have to start washing my COOKED beef off from now on so I can watch the hundreds of fat calories go down the drain. Go be a smarty somewhere else were all booked up here.
