How to tell if eggs are pasteurized

How do you tell if eggs are pasteurized or not?
Do they actually say "pasteurized" on the carton, or does Grade A mean they're pasteurized or what?

And they also cost more. That might help you spot them right away in the egg section at the store. They'll be somewhere between regular and organic in price, probably.

By pasteurizing the eggs (or heating them above 130 degrees for one minutes), they effectively kill any possible pathogen (like salmonella) in the egg. Which you will do by cooking anyway regardless of pasteurization. If they will be consumed in a raw state, the possibility that a propely handled egg has anything in it is incredibly incredibly small. In my opinion, unless you are feeding small children, grandpa, pregnant women, or people with immune-defficiency problems, pasteurized eggs offer no real benefits. And I think they taste crappy. I'd spend the money on organic.

Good call. I tried to help you out of the red, but it doesn't look like it quite got you there.
