South Padre Fishing?

Hey just thought I would ask for some insight on fishing guides in South Padre Texas. My daughter has a cheerleading competition there and i will be staying an extra day or two so her and I can get some fishing in while the wife sunbathes.

Now I book hunting and fishing trips all over the world but I have never fished that area and neither have my clients. So I am hoping some of you may have and can recomend a friend or a guide you have personally used. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I know I can research it and I have. I have a few in mind but I am looking at personal recomendations.

i livein south padre island man.. am always there the best place to fish is at the JETTIES on the island, when you enter the island take a right towards schilletbahn and you'll see signs everywhere and look for a sign saying JETTIES and that will lead you to it. or when you cross the bridge to the island take a right and go down the strip on padre blvd and till you pass the last street on the right (white sands drive) and go all the way down till there is no more red lights and once there is no buildings just pure sand you will see beach accesses on the right and you can drive your car/truck on the beach and thats where alot of locals fish. ( wen you take a left off the bridge there is only one main road go down and up through the island) i'd recommend the jetties.. if you are coming to south padre from brownsville, TX on that high way.. on the way theres a boat ramp where tons of people go fishing and you'll see it before you hit the island.
