    cheat days and sick days

    When you have a cheat deal do you also work out that day so you sort of negate the "cheat day" or do you usually cheat on your day off from the gym?
    Also, I've always wondered what other people do when they get sick. I will push myself to go to the gym if I feel bad but if I'm fever or flu sick I take the day or days off, but what do you do about your diet when you are sick? I know when I'm sick its real tough to follow my diet because it becomes a hassel to eat anything and when I do get hungry it is alot easier to eat soup and ice cream/frozen yogurt. What do you guys do? Thanks.

    i used to workout on my cheat days, but honestly, it's not gonna balance out the food you eat. if you're doing that you're just working out to burn off calories, not to build muscle. you can try it if you want to, but after the second time you'll probably think to yourself "this is pointless." i just do a 20-30 min hiit after i eat something small on my cheat day, and take the rest of the day off.

    as for being sick, just try to stick to your diet as much as possible. if you can't really stomach whole foods like chicken, try sipping on an mrp. just make it with ice, and water it down a lot. it'll go down easier. i've only been sick once since i've started working out. it's no use doing weights. if anything do low intensity cardio for 30-45 mins. if you push yourself too hard you'll end up making your time being sick longer because your body won't be able to focus on fighting the virus.

    i usually workout harder when i eat more, but thats just me......eating crappy food motivates me to go extra hard, never get caught up with eating crappy every now and then just use it to motivate you to workout harder (calories in vs calories out)

    in fact i did like a breakdown of the amount of calories i eat when i do NOTHING for a day its around 2500 which isn't alot and i go through effort to make them clean as possible

    when i lift I usually eat at least 3000

    when i lift and do cardio I eat at least 3500-4000

    when I am superactive that day and I lift I eat around 4000-5000 (its easy to do cuz i always eat fast food when i am super active lol)

    generally speaking i would really have to try to eat more then 5000 calories so i don't think i really go over that ever

    eating crappy food motivates me too. sometimes i'll do hiit that day, but instead of doing it for just 20 mins., i'll do it for 30, and at a harder rate.

    does anyone know how many calories your body burns off when you're resting?

    resting depends on your base metabolism some people like ronnie coleman prob burn more calories then the avg human does while working out when he gets up to take a piss cuz he has so much muscle fiber + outstanding genetics
