bb.com top 50 sellers
I read that many dislike nitrix, but it is the #3 seller on bb.com currently, and v12 is too. What about swole v2 and swole nitrous.

Is this really a list of best products?
1. Optimum 100% Whey Protein
2. BSN NO-Xplode
…
5. BSN CellMass
…
7. Universal Animal Pak
What you guys think about these products, are they really best?

top 50 are most a representation of best marketing and hear say than best supps.
But the ones listed by Jelger are good.

How much protein do you need daily? You need 0.82g/lb (1.8g/kg).

Just because they are on the Top 10, doesn't make them the BEST - but the *most popular*

Perhaps there should be some form of transparency in the ranking by showing the numbers sold for each project in the top 50....
Personally, I seldom go there.. I rather look at the reviews of the products that some websites are offering...

Good post, I often wonder about that too. Many MT bashings, yet Nitrix and Xplode seem to always be in the top 50.

As RR said, the top ranked sellers are the companies with the heavy $$$ put into marketing and advertising. I'll stick with the smaller companies that actually put their time and energy into their products.
This isn't to say ALL the products by said big marketing companies suck or are ineffective, just that often there are often more inexpensive alternatives that are equally if not more effective.

A lot of things in that list deserve to be there (Eg ON Gold) but that list does not tell you a true story. For example, many people may buy nitrix but how many of them are REPEAT buyers? Chances are not many. People are just getting sucked in by the initial scam

Not Queer
many people go to their local supp store like gnc, listen to the sales pitch of what is the "best" there, and then look for a better price on the net.
if you could find full lines from designer supplements, ****, gaspari, omega sports, usplabs, etc in these kinds of places im sure they would be more popular too. word of mouth only works so well against invasive, in-your-face marketing. "those" people are too lazy to think past the easiest (first) item they see that "might" fulfill their search. why keep looking/thinking when you have already found a suitable answer which may not necessarily be the best?

Being in the top whatever is pretty meaningless.
Proof: NO XPLODE is in the top 2!

Animal Pak has been in the top ten for a long, long time...
It has also won BB.com's "Multi of the Year" two years in a row.

Your product selection should not be based off of a "Top 50" list. Rather, they should be based on efficacy and value. The only product I use/would use that you listed is Animal Pak.
Other than that, I would advise use of Dymatize rather than Optimum, as there are more flavors and it is a better deal. Also, NO-Xplode and CellMass are quite overpriced. There are far better options in terms of price, value, and efficacy.
