hitting collar bone while doing power cleans

When im d0ing power cleans at the end of the lift i try and roll the bar back on to my finger tips to take some strain off my wrists. well i have been hitting my collar bone sometimes when i do this and causing mild pain and swelling. goes aways after two to three days. does anyone else do this and what should i be doing differently to prevent this? thanks for input

Yeah, the same thing happens to me when I clean, more so on my right side(i think i may have broken it when i was younger as it sticks out a little more than the left). I don't think there is too much you can do. Maybe wrist straps/braces would help. I was thinking about getting some as my wrists get pretty sore before anything else.

It used to happen to me when I was first started with cleans..

As I got more used to not pulling with the arms, and catching on the shoulders it got better.

Make sure you're catching the bar on your shoulders - your elbows should be pointing straight ahead of you, not at the floor - shoulder girldle up and forward.

As coach hatch says 'when the arms bend, the power ends'.

Keep your arms straight until you've finished your 2nd pull. Don't bend your arms until you bend your legs to get under the bar.
