hey, i tried the cable deadlift for the first time today and i have to say it just seemed too easy. Is this exercise worth doing? the machine only goes upto 100kg which we had no problem doing.

At my gym (I'm pretty poor and cant afford better) we don't have barbells and only have dumbells up to 10kg... we do have a cable machine, would it be worth trying out cable deads for a few weeklks to see if they're at all effective? Or would it be a better use of my time trying out more basic compound exercises (rows, lying rows, pull ups etc?)
