    Benching 225

    I maxed out last month at 185. I havent maxed since, but could get atleast 190 now(maybe even 200). yesterday i just started creatine. saying i had a pretty good diet and over 8 hours of sleep when will i be able to max 225? i know this seems like a hard to answer question, but i wana set a goal. will i not really hit a plateau since i just started creatine?

    how long have you been lifting? I'd probably say to add 35 pounds on a max bench around 2 months if your still relatively new. It all depends on the person and how hard they push themself though.

    i ve been seriously lifting for 6 months. i feel like i have hit a little bit of a plateau. last week i stated reaseaching creatine and i think it is a good supplement cause my atp sucks. shouldnt my bench jump because the fact im gettin on creatine?

    I think he was being sarcastic. Doesn't a month seem a little too short to gain 25lbs on your bench? Unless if he is kind of new I don't see it happening in a month. Maybe 5-10lbs a month onto your bench so I'd guess 2-4 months.

    haha im in the same boat as you kinda, i started working out in september and i can bench around 185 for my max right now, im trying to get 225 , something about those 2 45s sitting each side of the bar is just DRIVING ME TO GET THERE!!!

    Creatine is not a miracle supp... Creatine won't make your bench jump up by 35-45 pounds, it will be your diet/sleep patterns and determination. Whenever I reach a plataeu I just switch up my workout and throw in some new stuff.... maybe take a week off. Make sure your working your triceps really good during the week as well.

    Eat some pasta before you go to sleep and then when you wake up grab a protein shake and a baked potatoe...wait about 45-60 min and go jump on the bench. If we're talking about actually maxing out, I bet it could be done within a month and a half depending on how serious you take it. Just make it priority.

    Train shoulders and arms real hard over the next few weeks and your bench will go up.

    I maxed at 210 a month ago and with a good diet and adding creatine, I'm now at 215. That seems like a lot of strength gain in a really short time period. I'd give it longer than that.

    so 2 months of training to go from 185 to 225? dont think so. unless you seriously focus on benching maybe. somethin like smolov squat cycle for squatting,,, u get the concept.

    ahh lol i remember i was happy to get it for the first time, but that seems like a long time ago now im at 265 pushing to go up to 285 by a month in a half

    happened with me on my new mass stack from NxLabs.... my previous flat bench max was 225x1, yesterday i did 225x5(spotter helped on last one) and i felt like my chest was seriously going to rip off, but i did it! lol

    i always get that way with supps i take, thats why i love supps...
